Importance of Proof reading

A man wanted to celebrate his wife's Birthday by throwing a party. So he ordered a birthday cake on the phone.

The salesman asked him what message , he wanted to put on the cake.

He thought for a moment , and said, put "you're getting older, but you're getting better".

The salesman asked "how do you want me to put it?"

The man said 'Well...put "You are getting older" at the top and
"but you are getting better" at the bottom.

When the cake was unveiled ,at the party , all the guests were aghast at the message , on the cake.

It read: "You are getting older at the top, but you are getting better at the bottom"!!

Moral of the Story:

1. Always proof-read everything before you send.

2. Don't trust others to write it right for you.

3. Don't order cakes by telephone.

New 7 Wonders of the World

The Official New 7 Wonders of the World have been elected by more than 100 million votes to represent global heritage throughout history. The contest was organized by the New7Wonders Foundation the brainchild of Swiss filmmaker and museum curator Bernard Weber in order to “protect humankind’s heritage across the globe. The foundation says the poll attracted almost a hundred million votes.

The list of the new Seven Wonders of the World was announced on 7th July, 2007 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Each of these sites has something to recommend it, whether it is the sheer size of it, as is the case with the Great Wall and the statue of Christ the Redeemer, or it is the grandeur, such as with the Taj Mahal. Other sites are revered for their historical significance while others are astounding for a combination of factors.
 1. Chichen Itza (Yucatan, Mexico)

2. Christ the Redeemer (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)

3. Colosseum (Rome, Italy)

4. Great Wall of China (China)

5. Machu Picchu (Cuzco, Peru)

6. Petra (Jordan)

7. Taj Mahal (Agra, India)

Take NOTHING for granted

Be sure to catch the FootNote at very end!  Wow!

Take NOTHING for granted!
Watch the man on the left walking, crossing the road where there is no car . It is so definite that the coast on the left is clear,

 and safe to cross.
Any person would see it is safe... .

Take nothing for granted, not even for a split second!

Be grateful for every living minute!
VIDEO CAPTURED BY TRAFFIC CAMERA !!!!
'Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets;
so love the people who treat you right,
forget about the ones who don't,
and believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, take it.
If it changes your life, let it.
FootNote: Believe it or not the pedestrian in the intersection lived! He was saved by the imprint that the PT Cruiser left in the driver's side of the Subaru. When the Subaru went over him, it came down on him right where the dent in the car was made, and did not crush him!  Another 'angel on your shoulder' event!

What is an Equinox?

EQUINOX is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night), because around the equinox, the night and day have approximately equal length.

An equinox occurs twice a year, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the center of the Sun being in the same plane as the Earth's equator. The term equinox can also be used in a broader sense, meaning the date when such a passage happens.

At an equinox, the Sun is at one of two opposite points on the celestial sphere where the celestial equator (i.e. declination 0) and ecliptic intersect. These points of intersection are called equinoctial points: classically, the vernal point and the autumnal point. By extension, the term equinox may denote an equinoctial point.

An equinox happens each year at two specific moments in time (rather than two whole days), when there is a location (the subsolar point) on the Earth's equator, where the center of the Sun can be observed to be vertically overhead, occurring around March 20/21 and September 22/23 each year.

Zion National Park, Utah (USA)

Zion National Park is placed in the Southwestern United States, near Springdale, Utah. A prominent feature of the 229 square miles park is Zion Canyon, which is fifteen miles long and up to half a mile deep, cut through the reddish and tan-colored Navajo Sandstone by the North Fork of the Virgin River. The lowest elevation is 3,666 ft at Coalpits Wash and the highest elevation is 8,726 ft at Horse Ranch Mountain.

Located at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin, and Mojave Desert regions, the park's unique geography and variety of life zones allow for unusual plant and animal diversity. Numerous plant species as well as 289 species of birds, 75 mammals (including 19 species of bat), and 32 reptiles inhabit the park's four life zones: desert, riparian, woodland, and coniferous forest. Zion National Park includes mountains, canyons, buttes, mesas, monoliths, rivers, slot canyons, and natural arches.
