Mount Etna in Italy has erupted for the fourth time this year. A massive plume of smoke stretched seven kilometres into the air. Italian media said a stream of lava emitted from the volcano flowed into the uninhabited valley of Valle del Bove. Mount Etna towers over the Sicilian town of Catania, the eruption has not caused any damage and local airports are open.
